About Us

Long before there was central heating and air conditioning, the Sheet Metal Industry in St. Louis consisted mostly of architectural sheet metal work. From the beautiful ornate cornice structures which were typical of late 1800’s architecture to, and including the typical metal pan ceilings which were present in most in-town buildings, sheet metal workers have displayed their craftsmanship.

We are happy to say that Architectural Sheet Metal continues to be an important part of any construction or renovation project. Unlike many portions of a construction project which are covered up with drywall or a ceiling, most architectural work becomes a very noticeable feature on every job. Therefore, there is a great deal of skill and artistry required to provide the  unique look and finish desired by the architect or designer.

We have an apprentice program equal to any in the United States to help develop our trades people into the skilled craftspersons that can make any job possible.

Whether it is new metal siding panels, copper bay roofs, gutters and downspouts or any of the other features which make a building unique, it is likely that a sheet metal contractor utilizing sheet metal workers from Local #36 Smart was involved in the project.
